Provide work
placement and community integration support for Employment Services
individuals while in the program, in the community and at community
work sites. Contribute to coordination of individual services and
communication with community employers, other agency employees, families,
government agencies and the community.
Duties
and Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure
the health, safety, rights and dignity of individuals to encourage
their independence while in the program, at community work sites and
in the community, in accord with individual choice and human rights.
Maintain community
job placements, monitoring all required work tasks in a manner consistent
with employers’ business practices.
Facilitate natural
supports; promote positive peer relations and integration opportunities
for long-term supervision and advocacy.
Use of own dependable
vehicle to transport individuals and to pick up or deliver subcontract
work as required.
Salary

Group
Leader Position - Part time - Newton, MA
We are looking
for upbeat individuals who love working with young people as part
of ASCENT program, an afternoon program for youth with developmental
disabilities (aged 14-25). A part time Group Leader is needed to help
run the ASCENT program, under the supervision of the ASCENT Site Coordinator.
This includes planning fun activities that also build essential life
and social skills needed as they transition into adulthood. The Group
Leader facilitates all activities while providing a fun and upbeat
atmosphere. Activities include cooking, fitness, sports, shopping,
dining in restaurants, movies, dancing, arts & crafts and other
numerous field trips. The major responsibility of the Group Leader
is mentor and positive role model for the participants.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
required, some college preferred
- 6 months experience
working with school age children
- Desire to work
with young people with developmental disabilities.
- Valid Driver's
License, good driving record and a willingness to use agency vehicle
in the course of employment.
- Energetic, creative
and outgoing.
- Experience working
with people with developmental disabilities and autism preferred.
Hours:
Part Time, up
to 16 hours/week, 2:00pm-6:00pm, Tuesday to Friday.
Pay:
$10.25/hr
Case
Manager - Newton, MA
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide direct
care services to adults with multiple disabilities.
- Adhere to all
treatment plans for the individuals, maintaining records and progress
notes.
- Work with individuals
or with small groups, helping them develop gross/fine motor skills,
communication, activities of daily living and social skills, focusing
on teaching and empowering individuals.
Qualifications:
- One year experience
in related field required.
- High School Diploma
required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Desire to work
with adults with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to work
successfully as a member of a team.
- Ability to communicate
clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Valid Driver’s
License, good driving record and a willingness to use personal or
agency vehicle in the course of employment.
- Ability to lift
and support the body weight of any program individual with the assistance
of another staff member.
Hours:
Full-Time, 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday

Residential Staff - Brookline, MA
Status:
Non-Exempt, At-Will
by signed agreement
Requirements:
- Experience with
individuals with developmental disabilities, work experience in a
community setting.
- Possession of
a valid Driver’s license, a good driving record and a willingness
to use personal or agency vehicle in the course of employment.
- Ability to interact
with individuals, staff, and families in a professional manner
- Ability to work
successfully as a member of a program team.
- Ability to communicate
orally and in writing.
Preference:
- Current CPR,
First Aid and MAP certifications.
Summary Description:
Under the general supervision of the Program Director, the Live-In
Staff will provide four overnight shifts at the residence.
Each week, the Live-In Staff shall perform:
1. Four (4) “sleepover”
shifts at the residence, each consisting of the performance of all
necessary care, services, and supervision of the individuals between
the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.
2. Four (4) “morning
wakeup” shifts at the residence, each consisting of the performance
of all necessary care, services (including transportation), and supervision
of the individuals between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
3. From time-to-time,
such the Price Center may reasonably request additional services consisting
generally of the care and supervision of individuals. It is not anticipated
that the Live-In Staff will be required to work in excess of forty
(40) hours in any week. The Program Director will schedule the Live-In
Staff’s duties in accordance with its normal scheduling process,
provided that such duties may be scheduled on an emergency basis when
necessary.
Compensation:
Use of one bedroom and bathroom in large Brookline home, rent-free.
Use of common areas including kitchen and living room.
